She did her MBBS (1990-1996)and MD Pediatrics(1999-2001) from Medical College, Trivandrum and DM Neurology from NIMHANS (2005), Bangalore. After working in Kerala for 15 years, she is now settled in Chennai and is working as a Senior Neurologist in MIOT International Hospital, Chennai. She is married to Dr.Balasubramanian Guruswamy and is blessed with two kids, Mugundan,13 years and Tarun 12 years.
