Glorious and Free

Bryce Dymond
4.9/5 (11959 ratings)
Description:In the spring of 2011, a small group of volunteers set off from St. John’s, Newfoundland on a journey across Canada. They would run the same path that Terry Fox had set out on more than 30 years before them—ocean to ocean, along rivers, across prairies and over mountains. Their message was simple: child poverty is everywhere—even in Canada—and we have the power to stop it.There was just one problem. Would anyone be listening? This is the story of the One Nation Run. It is a story of adventure and perseverance and of the struggle to awaken Canadians to the needs in our midst. But more than anything else, it is a story for the children of this country, written in the enduring hope that every child’s future can be glorious and free.Bryce follows his heart on this incredible journey of running, generosity and justice. His running tour, One Nation Run, gives the challenge of caring for children and youth the priority it deserves.-Dave Toycen, President and CEO of World Vision CanadaRediscover Canada in new light as Bryce takes you through every step of his journey to make a difference for Canadian children in poverty. His eye-opening experience inspires both children and adults to look inside and beyond themselves to reach out to those in need, living closer to us than we may have thought.-Cara Song, Elementary Teacher, Near North District School BoardBryce's story is not only an inspiration, he demonstrates that we are all capable of extraordinary things in our lives. A great book by a great guy.-Ray Zahab, Extreme Ultra Marathoner, Impossible 2 Possible Bryce Dymond photoBryce Dymond was born and raised in the diverse city of Mississauga, ON. Bryce completed a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Western Ontario, and worked with youth and young adults in the Greater Toronto Area in his role as a pastor for nine years. After travelling the globe and to various parts of Canada, Bryce discovered that his home and native land was not the land of freedom and equality that he had once believed: he met children in Central Manitoba who lived in the same levels of poverty as he saw in the developing world. These Canadian children inspired Bryce to lead a cross-Canada run in 2011 to raise funds and awareness to fight child poverty in Canada.Bryce qualified for, and ran, the Boston Marathon in 2008, and has qualified for the 2015 Boston Marathon. When he is not running, Bryce continues to engage with those who are different to him and networks with neighbourhood and city leaders, discussing important issues. He is a keen Arsenal supporter, loves basketball and enjoys meals from all cultures.Bryce lives in Ottawa with his wife and daughter. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
