At the age of fourteen, Calcines, his father, mother and sister, finally escaped Castro "gulag" for a better life in the United States of America. In 1974, after a 5 year stay in West Allis, Wisconsin, the Calcines family moved south to Tampa, Florida, where he resides with his own family today.This is Calcine's follow-up book to Leaving Glorytown.
