Description:Jeremy Patrich is a California based physical and cultural geographer; whose academic adventure began at College of the Canyons. After earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geography at Cal State Northridge, he then completed a GIS program at the University of North Dakota. More recently, he completed a bachelor’s degree in geology at the University of Florida. He is honored to be part of the faculty at College of the Canyons as a professor of geography and geology.This book is dedicated to the students and colleagues, past and present, in the field of geography. Many of the photos included in this text are from field trips with students, of which inspire me and my colleagues to share our passion and love for the earth sciences and evoke the idea of learning something new every day. I would like to thank and recognize Mr. Winston Wutkee for introducing me to the field of geography and geology, and Drs.
