Description:When two of the Conglomerated Mining and Manufacturing Company employees are killed on the space station Jupiter - a "gold mine," as wealthy as the great Biblical mines of Ophir - in what appears to be an industrial accident, Private detective Mike Flynn is hired to investigate. Discovering that key witnesses were transferred off the Station and the doctor who performed the autopsies has died from the effects of polymethyl two four dibenzolacetate (the most abused designer drug of the twenty-first century), Flynn leaps to the conclusion that Jupiter Station is earning its huge profits not from legitimate mining, but from the secret production of polymeth. With the enlisted help of company attorney Wendy Chadwick, Flynn's investigation takes him deeper and deeper into the tangled webs ensnaring the Conglomerated space station. There he uncovers the true secret of the company - one that could have massive consequences for everyone on the station as well as Earth itself. But first, he has to stay alive long enough to pass on what he knows, and there are those at the station who will stop at nothing to ensure his silence, and murder is just the beginning . . . David Michael Drury grew up in Casco, Wisconsin. Since 1987 Dr. Drury has been a member of the faculty of the University of Wisconsin - Platteville, where he is a professor of electrical engineering.
