The narrator returns to the look of the child, early 50's, and describes what he lived and understood then, reshaping the recent "before" of the village and his family. One would expect that a small society with such participation in the national resistance would be the paradise of freedom, "tolerance", as we say today. It does not…Simple but not simplistic, touching but not melodrama, "Son of an insurgent" it could be done an excellent film. Not for the unsettling of the plot, but for the truth, a truth bitter but written with love, without embellishments.
