There are a few blank pages in each volume at end. 18 5-line staffs per page. Fully handwritten. Appears to be c. 1840. This is copy #9 but likely was copied from original manuscript because it has Lortzing's original spelling of the title of the "Czaar und Zimmermann". There are corrections and annotations in the text. There are two owner stamps on each of the 3 "Direction des Deutschen Theaters Franz Froneck" (Froneck was director of the Deutschen Theaters 1907-1922 ) and "Moritz Kreger Theater Direktor ". Zar und Zimmermann was first performed in Leipzig December 22, 1837.
