French in a large form, and had made ar rangements with his publisher for that pur pose; however, the latter gentleman having been requested by inﬂuential persons to adopt a cheaper, and consequently more general mode of circulation than that previously intended, and the belief that the distinguished author himself, if alive, would have published his works in the same manner, were considera tions which at once induced the editor to alter his mind and to make these celebrated Tracts a volume of the Library of Ireland.
