L na elected Secretary this last April. When I took charge, I found that the papers read by the following gentlemen, Drs. Foster, Ford, Hull and \vright, had not been handed to the former Seeretarv. I wrote to the gentlemen several times asking their papers. Some of them have never nu swered my letters. I waited as long as I thought it was right, and then called the publishing eommittee togethtir and thev told me to notify them once more, whieh I did. I received letters from Drs. Ford and Wright deelining to put. Their papers in the You will also notiee that we have no report on Necrology. Dr. Eugene Foster is chairman of that committee. I have written him times, but have not been able to get his report. I have had the Transactions in type, and eould have gotten them out in sixty days, but had to wait on these papers and re port. I do hope the Association will ent'oree the law about having the papers in the Seeretarv's hands before thev are read.
