The Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement: A Short Study of the Life of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908)

Unknown Author
4.9/5 (30088 ratings)
Description:About the book: This is a brief treatment of the life and work of the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (d. 1908), who proclaimed himself a Mujaddid or Reformer of Muslims. This edition, first published in 2008, has been expanded by the Editor by incorporating extracts from another writing by the author. The mission of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was to defend Islam by the pen and speech against the mass of verbal attacks by its critics, correct misconceptions about Islam and present Islam to the modern, in particular Western, world. This concise biography considers his motivating beliefs and shows how he carried out this mission while facing opposition from both the critics of Islam and the orthodox Muslim religious leaders. The book also relates his claims of being Promised Messiah and Mahdi to the nature of his reform work, and corrects popular misunderstandings about them. About the author: Maulana Muhammad Ali (d. 1951) is well known internationally as author of several renowned works on Islam, including translations of the Quran. He was also Head of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement. It was at the invitation of the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement that the Maulana, instead of pursuing his legal career, devoted his life to the service of Islam about the year 1900 and settled with the Founder in Qadian, India. He worked for the Movement in close contact with the Founder till his death in 1908. Later on, in 1914 he led some of the chief followers of the Founder in establishing the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha‘at Islam at Lahore (now Pakistan). Those who labour under misgivings about Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad will find from this book that it was he who inspired Maulana Muhammad Ali to carry out his great services for Islam, services which are acknowledged by Muslims and others all over the world. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
