Description:Katie Ailes is a poet and scholar originally from Philadelphia who now makes her home in Glasgow. She is currently pursuing her PhD in English at the University of Strathclyde, researching authenticity and liveness in contemporary performance-based poetry in the U.K. An active spoken word artist, Katie placed second in the 2015 Scottish National Poetry Slam and has performed across the U.K., including at the StAnza and Wickerman festivals, Rally & Broad, The Grind, and St. Mungo’s Mirrorball. She organises, composes, and performs with the spoken word collective Loud Poets, including touring with them to the Brighton, Prague, and Edinburgh festivals. She also co-edits Quotidian literary magazine and is co-piloting the Scottish Poetry Library Ambassadors programme. She is currently co-editing an anthology of contemporary Scottish political poetry, Poetic Politics, to be published through Luath Press in winter 2016. She released her first collection, Homing, in 2015, and features in the Glasgow Women Poets anthology to be published in 2016.Katy Ewing is an artist and writer who lives in rural Southwest Scotland and is currently studying for an MLitt in Environment, Culture and Communication at the University of Glasgow, Dumfries. She has had poetry, prose and illustration published in several magazines and anthologies including New Writing Scotland, Gutter, Southlight and From Glasgow to Saturn, as well as self-publishing in 2014 Some Strong Harsh Magic, a pamphlet of poetry and paintings, a sample of an ongoing collaboration with her mother, Scottish painter Sheila Mullen. She often writes about remembered place, childhood and motherhood and frequently finds herself drawn to the dark and uneasy places in human experience. Iona Lee is a writer, performer and artist originally from Edinburgh. Raised among actors and storytellers, she has always loved stories and the many ways they can be told. She is also fond of the conviviality pubs can afford and discovered as a seventeen-year-old that she could use performance poetry as a means of getting in to pubs without her age being challenged. Now twenty, the drinking and poetry have both continued. Iona won the title of Scottish slam champion in 2016. An illustration student at the Glasgow School of Art, she often illustrates her own work.We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
