Description:Excerpt from The Feed Situation: May-June, 1952 The total supply of oats for the 1951 marketing year is estimated at million bushels, about the same as a year earlier. While the domestic supply was a little smaller than in 1950-51, imports are expected to total around 50 million bushels, or about 20 million more than last year, and the largest since World War I Domestic use of cats during the first 9.months of the current marketing year was h percent larger than in that period of 1950-51, and it probably will be a little larger for the entire season, with most of the increase in feeding. Exports of oats as grain continue small, and probably will not exceed last year's total of about 3 million bushels.
