Description:Excerpt from Official Proceedings of the Central Railway Club, Vol. 22: Jan. 9, 1914 The president - Gentlemen, the meeting will 'come to order. I might say as a preliminary statement that if you are not on better time tonight you will find the banquet half over by the time you get in. This meeting was called for 2 o'clock. We have a good deal of business to get through with and we will have to start, beginning with the next meeting, to try to get off a little more promptly, if you please. The first order of business is the roll-call. As the cards have been distributed at the door we will dispense with the calling of the roll. The next order of business is the reading of the minutes of the meeting of January 9. Those minutes have been printed and the copies of the proceedings are in the hands of the members, therefore, we will dispense with the reading of the minutes. I want to say at this time that we have been honored by a very large delegation from New York City who have come to us on a special train over the Erie Railroad. The Secretary tells me that this is the largest delegation that has ever come to Buffalo to attend the annual dinner of the Central Railway Club, and I am sure we will all feel greatly honored and complimented by having so large a number of prominent men present. The Secretary also tells me that we have received since the last meeting 35 applications for membership. These names will be submitted to the Executive Committee but they were nearly all enrolled as soon as their dues were paid. The next order of business is the reports of standing committees. Mr. Secretary, will you give us the report of the Executive Committee? About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
