Inevitably, many of the untraced names Will be shown as 'obviously' belonging to Benjamin or one of the other major Nye lines. Even with several years of repeated painstaking reviews, some continued to be recognized, right up to publication and there must still be others.In Volume II, page 16, a footnote states that the date of our ancestor Benjamin Nye's death is established as April 30, 1714. This is incorrect and was due to a misinterpretation of an excerpt from a deed of his grandson, Ichabod. The date of Benjamin's death has not been established.
