An infectious disease is one caused by a living mico-organism or germ. Those infectious diseases which are readily transmissible from one person to another or from man to the lower animals, or vice versa, are contagious diseases. Sec. 2. The following diseases, viz: Scarlet Fever (includ ing Scarletina and Scarlet Rash), Diphtheria (including Mem bramons Croup), Smallpox, Epidemic Cerebrospinal Menin gitis, Asiatic Cholera, Bubonic Plague, Leprosy, Measles, Whooping Cough, Chickenpox, Mumps, Puerperal Fever, Typhoid Fever, Tuberculosis (including Consumption), and Pneumonia, are hereby declared by the Iowa State Board of Health to be contagious and infectious diseases, and dangerous to the public health.
