The many artists who contributed to this popular genre which began in 1947 had already created many famous characters including Captain America and Captain Marvel. In the future they would go on to create or co-create the likes of Spiderman, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Iron Man and many others who today are household names, and multimedia stars. The covers in the Romance Comic Coloring Books series are taken from the original scans of the covers. Due to the poor conditions or age of some of them, considerable PhotoShop work was called for. Every effort was taken to preserve the original look and style. All the original colors were removed to create these black and white coloring pages. Typefaces were also substituted to enhance readability, but none of the headlines were rewritten so as to preserve the titillation value. Some of you may have enjoyed reading romance comics growing up. And for some of you, they may be a totally new experience.
