Before his faithful eye there appears the Bride - the Lamb's wife - composed Of all the saintly powers and dreamings possible here below - the reﬂex image in this lower scene Of the Invisible - that image which lifts him out of his selfishness and darkness. Before his closing eyes there is the Rider on the white horse, conquering and to conquer. In every state of his life, in toil and trouble, self-denial or martyrdom, there is present as a fact and law, that nothing can Obscure or deny, the love Of christ, as His Spiritual life-force - the undoubting faith in His promise, lo, I am with you alway even unto the end Of the world.
