Description:Excerpt from Minutes of the Third Annual Session of the South Bethel Baptist Association: Held With Elam Baptist Church, Clarke County, Ala;, September 30th, October 1st, 2d and 3d, 1886 The Third Annual Session of the South Bethel Baptist Association convened with the Elam Church on Thursday morning, Sept. 30, 1886, and was called to order by the Moderator. J. R. Brown at 11 o'clock. Religious Exercises were conducted by Elder W. A. Parker, of the Bethel Association. In the absence of Elder A. J. Hearn, the appointee to preach the Introductory Sermon, and the indisposition of the alternate, Elder J.B, Small, the sermon was preached by Elder J. E. White, from the 4th chapter of Job. The Association then adjourned until 2 o'clock. Afternoon Session. The Association was called to order and prayer was made by Elder J. H. Findley.
