It was originally my intention to have incorporated it in a larger work on the Pathological Histology of the Eye. I have, however, been invited by Professor Orth to undertake that portion of his Text-Book on Pathological Anatomy which deals with the eye. A technical treatise like this would be out of place in such a work; it is, therefore, presented as a separate volume.
