Description:The story begins as a missile is sent to take down a civilian aircraft. One man survives, 23 year old Dan Kingsley, a computer repairman from Seattle, Washington. As he stumbles away from the fiery crash, thankful to be alive, he sees zombies coming after him out of the burning plane. This begins Dan's tale of survival. Told in first person narrative, Dan describes the world around him. Confused by the undead, shocked as he sees the horizon of the world flip, he manages to make it back to Seattle to find it totally destroyed and over-run with zombies. His first thought is his parents. A stranger, Tara, tells him that a tsunami wiped that part of Seattle out and they are most likely dead. Exhausted, they decide to leave Seattle to go look for survivors further inland. As they travel, they come across more zombies and more destruction. Bridges are down. Towns are burned up. Bodies line the streets. It's as if the whole world has been destroyed. Alive! Not Dead is Dan's story. This is how he survived, travelling across the country, setting his sights on the gulf coast, getting away from the destruction on the west coast; along the way meeting a man who he later considers his own father - and meeting a woman who he falls in love with and will do anything for to keep them both safe and warm. Staying alive is the key as food supplies dwindle to nothing, as zombies can be waiting around the corner, as people with dark agendas catch them and use them for their own sick enjoyment.
