This book mixes voodoo, ghosts, and bayous into a spicy gumbo of a whodunit.When Nancy's not eating Bananas Foster at Brennan's or riding the St. Charles streetcar in the Garden District, she's being chased down Bourbon Street by a man who thinks she knows about a mysterious compound called Agent Q. Nancy teams up with her fun and funky Aunt Audrey, who loves sleuthing as much as she does. Like female versions of Lewis and Hathaway, they use all their smarts and connections to solve the mystery and help the murdered docent, Evangeline, cross over to the over side and be at peace. They're not adverse to using voodoo to reach Evangeline's spirit and Nancy finds out that there really are such things as ghosts. In a humorous PG-rated chapter, Nancy befriends The Lady Chablis when she seeks shelter in a gay bar on Bourbon Street.
