Bigfoot Down: A Novel

Bruce Phillip Hood
4.9/5 (30242 ratings)
Description:Deep in the wild of Canada’s Boreal Forest, in a place chosen for its isolation, a botanist experiences a series of break-ins that threaten his life’s work. The perpetrator is caught in the act and gunned down. When the smoke clears the botanist and committed naturalist realizes he has bagged a live Bigfoot, now barely clinging to life. Stricken with grief, he summons all his resources to right this wrong. What happens next is a bloody clash of cultures with a creature filled with intelligence. An outsider chosen by the beast himself serves as biographer for a story of love and fear, hope and tragedy, humor and horror and, in the end, a true tale of friendship and loyalty. Bigfoot Down is as close as you will ever get to a Sasquatch without smelling his breath. 352 traditional pages for your enjoyment. Critics rave... This is one of the most unique books I've read. From the beginning, we are sucked into the story told from the point of view of a young writer struggling to get by, when he is sucked into a thrilling story involving eccentric millionaires, bigfoot, UFOs, and an ultimate fight for survival. It's a startlingly unique story full of suspense, action, threaded with dark humor. Claude Michael will win you over as a character, then in one fowl swoop, remind you that bigfoot is something to be feared. A great read, I highly recommend it. Josh Kimble I am into Bigfoot right now, but this book made me a real fan of the author. Not since early Tom Robbins have I enjoyed such joyous craziness. Jaen Martins I loved BigFoot Down! It's very different from the books I normally read and wasn't sure what to expect. The book is very well written...the author does a great job of drawing you into this story from the very first sentence. I couldn't put it down. It's interesting, humorous, captivating, and has you at the edge of your seat. Very good read, I highly recommend it!!! Thumbs up Bruce Hood!
