Description:A Gift of Faith is my third book of Poetry and it focus on the journey of faith throughout my life. Although the style and presentation is similar to my first two books, the content reveals the many different aspects of faith. It looks at times of despair and struggle, yet always points to our need for a strong spiritual life necessary for us to survive our long sojourn through life. Dave and his wife, Cheri, live in the small town of Everly, in Northwest Iowa. They have 2 grown children and 6 grandchildren. Dave has been a licensed social worker for over thirty years, which included several years working for Lutheran Social Service where his work for the church became part of who he is today. Dave is currently a Mental Health Therapist in Spencer Iowa. He is still active as a lay minister within the Lutheran Church. Dave has been writing poetry for over thirty years, and the poems of his faith have often been used in his sermons during his work with his church. A Gift of Faith shows Dave's love for life and for all the people who have touched his heart throughout the years.
