Sir Marrok: A Tale of the Days of King Arthur

Allen French
4.9/5 (23952 ratings)
Description:Sir Thomas Malory wrote Le Morte d'Arthur in the year 1470, a large work comprising two volumes of about 500 pages each. In Chapter XI of Volume 2 of this book appears a list of the names of all the knights of the round table - all one hundred and ten of them. One of these knights was Sir Marrok, who is mentioned by saying, "Sir Marrok, the good knight that was betrayed with his wyf, for she made hym seven yere a wer-wolf." There is only one other brief reference to Sir Marrok in Malory's original work. In 1902, Allen French used this reference to compose an entire story about Sir Marrok. In French's book the author makes reference to "The Lay of Sir Marrok" and "The Chronicle of Sir Marrok" as works on which his story is based. While both the Lay and the Chronicle are also fictional works, French begins each of the chapters in his book with a four-line stanza from the Lay of Sir Marrok. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
