I wrote this book not just for my daughter Natasha, but also for our families, friends, those who met Natasha once, those who knew her, and for those who heard of her, but never had the opportunity to meet her. This collection contains the thoughts of how I have been able to move on after her loss, of trying to forget those things that are behind, and of reaching for the things that were before me; that felt so distant. I express my feelings to my daughter, of how I have learned to manage and cope from the beginning of her loss, to the midpoint of numbness that protected my emotions from getting lost in the reality of life. It is about emptiness, my new space in life, the special person in my life and in Joshua’s life.
