This is a very pleasurable tour through Walton's rural, idyllic, seventeenth-century England. The book is illustrated with magnificent steel engravings of the period, and Hoagy Carmichael provides excellent commentary on the theatre, Victorian drama, and the enduring legend of Izaak Walton.
