101 Business Tips for Actors: The Things They Never Told You

Ron Bush
4.9/5 (13005 ratings)
Description:Ron has been acting for more than ten years. His first foray into the entertainment industry was as a background actor in the 2002 Reese Witherspoon movie ‘Sweet Home Alabama.’ In this movie, he got to work as a background actor for four days, and he instantly fell in love with acting. You can see him for five seconds as the cashier at the glass shop, ‘Deep South Glass.’ He got to meet and talk with Patrick Dempsey, Josh Lucas and Rhona Mitra throughout filming the movie, where he was able to learn how exciting the actor world could be. This experience whetted his appetite for acting and the rest as they say is history.Ron attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a B.S. in Management, and Georgia State University, where he earned a M.B.A. in Operations Management. While he continued to do sporadic background acting while living in Atlanta, GA, his main focus was working in the Information Technology sector at several different software companies. It was not until he was laid off from one software company, was unemployed for eight months and then found employment at the Smithsonian Institute, when his interest in acting was once again stoked. He was not happy at the Smithsonian, so he decided to start taking acting classes. He once again found his love of acting and after two years of acting in Baltimore, he made the move to NY. As of the publishing of this book, he has had principal roles in more than fifty projects, including movies, commercials, industrials and TV shows, including a co-star role as a roulette dealer in an episode of ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ and a national CarMax commercial.Besides acting, Ron is also the founder of a networking group, where members of the entertainment industry gather to share information and make contacts. His group, the New York Entertainment Group (NYEG), meets once a month and is always free to attend. He was also approached by several actors to give them instruction on how to handle the business side of the entertainment business. To that end, he became a Marketing Consultant for actors and hosts a monthly Marketing for Actors group class for his fellow actors. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
