In his possession were most of the official documents bearing on the history of the Seminary which are known to exist, and he is personally acquainted with all the sources of infor mation. Naturally, the former president of the Semi nary has used the language of modesty and sobriety, rather than that of enthusiasm, in presenting his story to our readers. From a historical point of view this adds value to the work.
