Description:Basic Medical Language focuses on teaching a carefully selected group of suffixes, prefixes, and word roots that provide the basis for recognizing and defining hundreds of medical terms. This basic medical vocabulary provides the foundation students need for communication with other health care team members. After an introductory lesson (chapters are called lessons) that explains the structure of medical terms, subsequent lessons present the various body systems. Very brief anatomy presentations begin each of the body system lessons, then word parts are introduced.
